 Johnny Snedegar
ODESSA - Johnny Mack Snedegar, 73, of Odessa, a retired oilfield roughneck, died 
Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. 
Dewey Blevins officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Lubbock.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ladonna Snedegar of Odessa; sons, Ricky Snedegar and Gary 
Snedegar, both of Odessa; daughters, Susan Zemlock and Sherrie Davis, both of 
Odessa; mother, Bernice Snedegar of Bangs; sister, Helen Titus of Taos, N.M.; 
six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Dominga Vargas
SEMINOLE - Dominga Alvarado Vargas, 72, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Friday, 
Oct. 4, 2002.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the St. James Catholic Church. Mass 
will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Ronaldo Reyes 
officiating. Burial will follow in Gaines County Cemetery. Arrangements by 
Ratliff Funeral Home.
She was born in Alamo.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Carlos Vargas Sr. of Seminole; Juan Vargas, Joe Vargas and 
Bo Vargas, all of Andrews, Steve Vargas and Carlos Vargas Jr., both of Seminole 
and Israel Vargas of Greeley, Colo.; daughters, Maria Vargas, Yolanda Vargas and 
Oralia Ramirez, all of Greeley, Luciola Vargas of Midland and Imelda Chavez of 
Seminole; brother, Gilbert Alvarado of Seminole; sister, Enriqueta Rodriguez of 
Reynosa, Mexico; 29 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

PECOS - Pedro "Pete" Abila, 78, of Pecos, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at his 
residence.
Services are pending with Pecos Funeral Home.
