PECOS - Pedro "Pete" Abila, 78, of Pecos, a retired concrete mixer, died 
Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at his residence.
Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the 
Rev. Miguel Angel Sanchez officiating. Burial was at Barstow Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Barstow. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Paula Abila of Pecos; son, Robert "Fats" Abila of Pecos; 
daughter, Becky Silvas of Pecos; brothers, Luis Abila and Manuel Abila of 
Barstow and Jesus Abila of Andrews.
Dennie Bailey
ODESSA - Dennie Ray Bailey, 42, of Odessa, an oilfield driller, died Sunday, 
Oct. 6, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with 
the Rev. Dewey Blevins officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Junction.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joyce Bailey of Odessa; stepson, Christopher Simmons of Odessa; 
daughters, Christy Bailey and Kami Bailey, both of Eden; stepdaughters, Samantha 
and Alyssa Simmons, both of Odessa; mother, Nell Bailey Murr of Menard; 
brothers, Delton Bailey of Paint Rock and Billy D. Bailey of Menard.

Gearld Edward Crow
ODESSA - Gearld Edward Crow, 56, of Odessa, a Lincoln Towers Retirement Center 
employee, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Deerings Nursing Home.
Services were held privately. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa. He was an Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Father, Harlan Edward Crow of Kennedy.

Karen Gaule
ODESSA - Karen Dianne Worth Gaule, 61, of Odessa, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at 
Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Odessa Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Doug 
Herget officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by 
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Bill Gaule of Odessa; son, Jonathan Gaule of Odessa; 
daughter, Jennifer Heuman of Odessa; parents, Marvin and Lu Worth of Ottumwa; 
sisters, Pam Frederick-McKnight of Arlington and Linda Jones of Odessa; and 
brothers, Dennis Worth and Brad Lee Worth, both of Ottumwa.

Ruth Ann Levens
MIDLAND - Ruth Ann Levens, 21, of Midland, Wal-Mart department manager, died 
Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Fisher County.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church in Midland with the 
Rev. Darrel Martin officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. 
Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Banning, Calif. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Chris Levens of Midland; daughter, Nikki Levens of Midland; 
parents, H.E. and Shirley Dennis of Midland; grandmother, Ruby Dennis of 
Brawley, Calif.; and brothers, Buddy Watkins of Redding, Calif., James Watkins 
of Kennedy and Matthew Watkins of Tulia.

John Waller
JAL, N.M. - John T. Waller, 49, of Jal, N.M., died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, in 
Kermit.
