Louise Carter
ODESSA - Louise Carter, 72, of Odessa, a retired cook, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 
2002, at her residence in Odessa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. 
McNeil officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
She was born in Ladonia and moved to Odessa in 1955 from Wichita Falls.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Natalie Carter of Alvarado, Shirley Everett of Aurora, 
Colo., and Aline Vaughn of Texarkana; brothers, Eddie Bogar of Fort Worth, 
Robert Bogar of Ladonia and Teordis Bogar of Calipatria, Calif.; sisters, Jonell 
Shaw, Fayrine Coooper and Annie Mae Brown, all of Dallas, Hazel Shephard of 
Taft, Okla., and Merille Franklin of Sulphur Springs; nine grandchildren; 20 
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Cliff Deas
ODESSA - Cliff Deas, 78, of Odessa, a retired city of Odessa employee, died 
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with 
the Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at the Ector County 
Cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Ellisville, Miss., and moved to Odessa in 1954. He was a Navy 
veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Norma Deas of Odessa; daughter, Lisa Uhlhorn of Odessa; son, 
Glen Deas of West Monroe, La.; brother, Wayne Deas of Huffman; one grandchild; 
and one great-grandchild.

Mildred Paster
ODESSA - Mildred Elizabeth Paster, 79, of Odessa, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at 
Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the 
Rev. Jimmy McCuchen officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral 
Directors.
She was born in Philadelphia.
SURVIVORS: Son, Ernest W. Meyer of Tuscon, Ariz.; daughters, Elaine Mullins of 
Odessa, Connie Coulston of Phoenix, Ariz., Ginger Adame of Prescot Valley, 
Ariz., Joyce Miller of Lakewood, Ohio, and Jeannie Fleischer of North Olmsted, 
Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Johnny Garton
ODESSA - Johnny W. Garton, 22, of Odessa, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at his 
residence.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Dolly Gibbs
IRAAN - Dolly Gibbs, 65, of Iraan, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at her home.
Services are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Manuel Hinojosa
BIG SPRING - Manuel A. Hinojosa, 38, of Big Spring, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, 
in Brownwood.
Services are pending with Myers and Smith Funeral Home.

Gladys Vanley
ODESSA - Gladys Vanley, 86, of Fort Worth, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, in Fort 
Worth.
