Sarah Alaniz
ODESSA - Sarah Michelle Alaniz, 19, of Odessa, a student and a part-time 
employee of Spencer Dobbs, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, in Odessa. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will 
be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Mineral Wells. 
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Brianna Jade Alaniz of Odessa; father, Ricky Alaniz Sr. of 
Andrews; mother and stepfather, Lisa and Randy Clark of Odessa; grandparents, 
Jesse and Mary Alaniz of Andrews, Linda and Wayne Koonce of Stamford and Laverne 
Clark of Odessa; brothers Geoffrey Michael Lewis of Odessa and Ricky Alaniz Jr. 
of Andrews; and stepsisters, Kandice Diane Clark of Monahans and Elizabeth 
Cortez of Odessa.

Nona Cleghorn
ODESSA - Nona Leola Cleghorn, 90, of Commerce, an office manager, died Sunday, 
Oct. 13, 2002, in Greenville.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Presbyterian Church of Commerce 
with the Rev. Beverly Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements by Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home.
She was born in Ranger. She was Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Mary "Gaye" Furry of Commerce and Jeanne Richardson of 
Jelm, Wyo.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Manuel Hinojosa
BIG SPRING - Manuel A. Hinojosa, 38, of Big Spring, a carpenter and construction 
worker, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, in Brownwood.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the 
Rev. James Plagens officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. 
Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
He was born in San Antonio. He was a former Odessa resident.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Freddy Michael Hinojosa, David Lozano and Manuel Hinojosa Jr., 
all of Odessa; daughters, Crystal Hinojosa, April Lozano and Bernadette 
Hinojosa, all of Odessa; brothers, Homer Hinojosa of Abilene and Juan Hinojosa 
and Albert Hinojosa, both of Big Spring; sisters, Olga Tijerina of Odessa, Maria 
Carey and Sofie Hinojosa, both of Big Spring, and Elizabeth Hinojosa of Oklahoma 
City, Okla.; and mother, Maria A. Hinojosa of Big Spring.

Lena Simpson
ODESSA - Lena Mae Simpson, 101, of Odessa died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at Odessa 
Regional Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.
