Lozano ODESSA - "For to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord." (2 Corin. 5:8) Consuelo (Connie) O. Lozano, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Jan. 1, 2002. She was born Sept. 30, 1923 in Toyah to Frederico and Cesaria Ortega. She moved to Pecos in early adulthood where she met and married the love of her life, Marcelo S. Lozano on May 5, 1946. She was retired from food service. In 1979 she started in the jail and prison ministry in Pecos. She moved to Odessa in the 1990's because of failing health but continued her ministry until her death. She was preceded in death by daughter, Raquel, and husband, Marcelo, and a son, Larry. Mother was the driving force of dependence on the Lord on a daily basis. She will be greatly missed in our present lives, but we know she finished the work we will continue. She was full gospel Christian. Born to Marcelo and Consuelo were daughters, Naomi Brown of Rosenberg, Patsy Galindo (Gilbert), Margaret Michaelis (Thomas) and Sylvia Lara (Raul), all of Odessa; a son, Joe Anthony Lozano and Maria of Odessa. Also surviving, her sisters, Hope Nuñez (Eleno) of Pecos, Noemi Navarette (Margarito) of El Paso, Virginia Armendariz of Midland, Lydia Campbell of Englewood, Calif. and Margie Sutter (Norman) of Fresno, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
