Montgomery, 81, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 29, 1920, in Ardmore, Okla. She was a longtime resident of both Midland and Odessa and a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. Thelma was loved and respected by everyone whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed by her children and brothers and sisters. She was the beloved wife of Richard Franklin Montgomery, who preceded her in death July 1976. She is survived by her loving children, Frank Montgomery of Casper, Wyo., Carolyn Thurmond and husband Dan of Conroe, Julia Watters and husband Jim of Odessa and Steve Montgomery and wife Julie of Conroe; the precious grandmother of Rusty Cooper, Chuck Cooper, Stacey Skelly, Laura Wallace, David Hembree, Marci Hembree, Holly McCorquodale, Con Brazeal, Jessica Brazeal, Christopher Brazeal, Randi Montgomery and Gunar Montgomery; great-grandchildren, D.J. Hembree and Amanda Hembree; also her brothers, Matthew "Sonny" Nelson and wife Marlene and Jack Nelson and wife Nelda, all of Odessa; sisters, Gwen Edwards of Brady and Grace Gober and husband David of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a precious gift to all her family and will be greatly missed. She was a beloved mother, sister and grandmother with a loving heart and kind and generous spirit. She was a Christian who loved the Lord, her Savior, and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 1, 2002, at Crescent Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Kimberly S. Marsh ODESSA - Kimberly S. Marsh, 24, of Dallas passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in Dallas. She was born July 12, 1977, to James T. and Chil Sun Marsh. Kimberly was loved greatly by many people. Justin Blackburn was among those many. They shared many great years together and would have undoubtedly shared many more. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James T. Marsh of Portales, N.M., and Chil Sun Marsh of Odessa; two devoted brothers, James O. Marsh of Odessa and Benjamin K. Marsh of Shreveport, La.; as well as a dedicated sister, Crystal M. Marsh of Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 1, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Kinkade officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family greatly appreciates all of the many prayers and condolences that they have received. Dot Etheredge ODESSA - Dot Etheredge, 69, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002. She was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Cisco and moved to Odessa with her family when she was 4 years old. She loved Odessa. She attended school here where she made many friendships that lasted a lifetime. She met the love of her life, Darwin Etheredge, during her freshman year at Odessa High School and married him on her 19th birthday, Dec. 23, 1951. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a host of family and friends. Dot always considered her most important role in life to be that of wife, mother and grandmother. "She spoiled us rotten!" The legacy of love she leaves to her children and grandchildren will carry us throughout our lives. Dot was a member of the Junior League of Odessa for 40 years and served as vice president in 1971-1972. She was a member of the Contemporary Study Club for several years and later was a member of the Odessa Study Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the weekly prayer ministry. Dot was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband and lifetime companion, Darwin Etheredge; daughter and son-in-law, Lane and Billy Carson of Odessa; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Judy Etheredge of Austin; and two sisters, Blanche McDaniel of Odessa and Tylene Osborn of Santa Monica, Calif. The four grandchildren who added so much joy to her life are Adam Carson of Fort Worth, Whitney Carson of Odessa and Jasen and Devon Etheredge of Austin. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 1, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. H.
