All rights reserved ============================================================================================ Sunday March 10, 2002 Judy Taylor MIDLAND - Judy Taylor was born Dec. 11, 1961 in Kermit, Texas, to Riley Zane Bickerstaff and Doris June Harper Bickerstaff. She moved to Beaver, Okla. where she graduated from high school. On Aug. 7, 1982, she married Michiel Taylor. They moved to Midland, where she taught English, one year at Greenwood and fourteen years at Midland High School. Mrs. Taylor was active in church, where she sang in the choir and was a GA leader. She was a wonderful mother and wife, who loved to travel and loved flowers. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her mother and two daughters. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Michiel Taylor of Midland; a daughter, Kara Taylor of Midland; her father and stepmother, Riley and Joyce Bickerstaff of Odessa; a brother, Brian Bickerstaff of Liberal, Kansas; and a sister, Kim Harper of Booker, Texas. Mrs. Taylor passed away Friday, March 8, 2002, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayman Swopes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jim Lorenz, Evans Ethridge, Terry Gardner, Morris Kuhrt, Wes Weaver and Jarret Weaver. The family requests memorials be directed to Greenwood Baptist Church Building Fund. Fred Robert "Bob" Rex ODESSA - Fred Robert "Bob" Rex, 71, of Odessa passed away Thursday, March 7, 2002, in the Hospice House. Mr. Rex was born Oct. 9, 1930 in Ranger, Texas. He married Shirley Porter on Aug. 19, 1951 in Waynesburg, Pa. She preceded him in death in 1975. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Army Band. He moved to Odessa in 1955 from Ranger and worked as an oilfield supervisor for Glidwell Maintenance, formerly Glenrex, Inc. He was an active member of Highland United Methodist and served on the Vision Committee. He had been a member of the Hardin Simmons Cowboy Band and later served as president of the Permian High School Band Booster Club. He was a member of the Permian High School Football Booster Club and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his son, Dan Scott Rex and his wife, Jeanie, of Odessa; his daughter, Janet Glidwell, of Odessa; three grandchildren, Michael Rex, Tausha Glidwell and Nathan Glidwell. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2002, in the Highland United Methodist Church with Dr. Mark Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. The family requests memorials be made to the Hospice House Foundation, 903 N. Donna Gail Tomlinson Jennings ODESSA - Donna Gail Tomlinson Jennings, 53, passed away Friday, March 8, 2002, in her home. She was born July 15, 1948 in Oakland, Calif. She was known by many from her work for the past nine years at Mr. Payroll inside the Kent Station on West University Boulevard. She always had a smile for everyone and all that knew her loved her. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Jennings; a brother, Kenneth and wife Latane Tomlinson of San Angelo, Texas; three children: daughter, Shellie Proffitt of Amarillo, Texas, daughter, Debra Proffitt of Albuquerque, and son, Dusty Cranfill of Odessa; and four wonderful grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Zion Fellowship of God, 9300 W. 26th St. The family would like to thank everyone for all their help and kindness. Mary Lee Winslett Dodd BROWNWOOD - Mary Lee Winslett Dodd, age 81, of Brownwood, passed away on Thursday morning, March 7, 2002, in the Brownwood Regional Medical Center. A private funeral service will be conducted. Mrs. Dodd was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Hamlin, Texas, to Floyd and Lola Lee Stewart, formerly of Lake Buchanan Dam, Odessa and Hamlin for many years. She married Edward Dodd in Brownwood on Dec. 8, 1940. She is survived by her husband, Edward Dodd of Brownwood; two sons, Ron and wife Reena Dodd of Brownwood and Jimmie Dodd of Austin; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
