All rights reserved ============================================================================================ Friday March 29, 2002 Melvin Clarence Robertson ODESSA - Melvin Clarence Robertson, 81, of Odessa died Monday, March 25, 2002, after a long illness with Shy-Drager, a rare form of Parkinson's Disease. He was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Vincent to Jesse and Mamie Creighton Robertson. Melvin moved to Odessa in 1963. He was a retired petroleum engineer for Smith Tool Co. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the Army Corps of Engineers in India, Burma and China. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Robertson; sons, Jim K. Robertson and Ted E. Robertson, both of Burbank, Calif.; sister, Ruby Waite of Dumas; and granddaughter, Erica Lynne Robertson of Odessa.
