All rights reserved ================================================================================ Tuesday April 02, 2002 Tina Fawn Bush ALVIN - Tina Fawn Bush, 65, of Alvin passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002, in Hammond, La. She was an Alvin area resident for 35 years, moving here from Odessa. She was born April 6, 1936, in Monahans, Texas, to C.P. and Dorothy Hales. Tina was a member of the South Park Baptist Church in Alvin, member O.E.S. Alvin Chapter and a 1955 Odessa High School graduate. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.P. and Dorothy Hales. She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank N. Bush, whom she married Nov. 24, 1956, in Odessa. Also surviving are her son, Frank Austin Bush Sr. and fiancee Cynthia of Alvin; daughter, Chris Permenter and husband Terry of Hammond, La.; grandchildren, Frank Austin Bush Jr., Penny-Paige Murray, Chase Austin Permenter and Toni Christine Permenter; and sister, Sandy McCune of California. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 2, 2002, at Oak Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin with Dr. Bruce Peterson officiating. Memorials may be made to Gideon Bibles. Arrangements by Oak Park Funeral Home. Linda K. Johnson GREENFIELD, Ind. - Linda K. Johnson, age 51, of Greenfield, Ind., formerly of Odessa, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at her residence in Greenfield. Born March 29, 1951, in Shelbyville, Ind., she had worked for Ponca Wholesale from 1980 to 1992 and had worked for Town and Country Convenience Stores from May 1995 to October 1997 at Andrews Highway and West 16th Street. She had a booth at Henry's Flea Market from 1984 until 1993 off and on. Survivors include her daughter, Randi Johnson, and two grandsons, all of Greenfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 2, 2002, at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Jake Levine 'J.L.' Stepp Jr. ODESSA - Jake Levine "J.L." Stepp Jr. 81, of Odessa passed away Easter Sunday, March 31, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness. J.L. was born Nov. 7, 1920, in Quanah to Jake Levine and Vurda May Stepp. He came to Odessa in the '30s. He married Margaret Dowden Sept. 2, 1944, in Odessa. J.L. graduated from Odessa High School. He later worked as a welder in shipyards during World War II. He retired from American Bank of Commerce. After retirement, J.L. and Margaret loved traveling in their R.V. to California, Florida and Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Feb. 23, 2002; his son, Mark L. Stepp; and his parents. He is survived by daughter, Patricia Lynn Walker; five grandchildren, Duronda Martin of Odessa, Raymond Stepp of Lake Dallas, Patricia Lorn Walker, Virginia Dawn Walker and Amanda Susann Walker, all of Odessa; and three great- grandchildren, Jake Merritt, Deaven Martin and Parker Stepp. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Doines officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
