Hamlet-Act V, Scene II William Shakespeare Robert Alvin Evenson, passed away on April 12, 2002, at Hospice House in Odessa. Bob was born on Dec. 30, 1917, in Fargo, N.D., to Alvin Edward Evenson and Leola Robinson Evenson. He was reared in Bartlesville, Okla. After high school graduation, Bob began his long career with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville on June 15, 1936. On July 8, 1941, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the 20th Armored Division and attained the rank of First Sergeant. He served in the European Theater. After being discharged from the U.S. Army on November 21, 1945, Bob resumed his career with Phillips Petroleum Company. On May 22, 1947, he married Ellen Mabry in Pampa, Texas. Shortly thereafter, Bob was transferred to Odessa. After 45 years of service, Bob retired as Area Manager of Drilling Specialties Company, a subsidiary of Phillips on Feb. 1, 1981. He then worked as a consultant to Champion Chemical Company in Midland for three years. Bob was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord. He was also a member of the American Petroleum Institute, Phillips Mens Club, PhilResters and the American Legion. Bob was a true connoisseur of jazz music. He was a charter member of the Odessa Jazz Association and a member of the West Texas Jazz Society. Bob was an avid supporter of the Permian High School Band and Football team, and was a member of both Booster Clubs. Bob's father mother and sister, Bonnie Huntress of Bartlesville, preceded him in death. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ellen Mabry Evenson; daughter Karen Evenson; son Eric Evenson; granddaughter, Kara Evenson-Dorethy and her husband, Dan Dorethy; great-grandson and namesake, Devin Robert Evenson Dorethy, all of Odessa. He is also survived by "Daughter No. 2," Betty Kirk McCulloch; several nieces and nephews including Judith Huntress of New York and David Huntress of Colorado; cousins, Sue Evenson Ferryman of Colorado and Jean Evenson Dahlstrom of Louisiana; and his beloved grand-dog and best friend, Khloe Monet. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Walker of Carbon; Paul Bennett and Harris Oehler of Houston; C.M. "Socky" Baggett, Dan Black, and A.J. Cain of Midland; and Riley Griffin, Bill Rea and Leon Younger of Odessa. Family Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2002 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord, 1603 N. Grandview, Odessa with the Rev. James Otterness officiating. Shannon Raburn-Wyatt Shannon Raburn-Wyatt, 29, passed away on April 2, 2002, in Frisco, Texas. She was born July 12, 1972, in Odessa, Texas and graduated from Permian High School in 1990. Shannon married Michael Roy Wyatt in the home of her stepfather Stacy Thatcher and her mother Shelley Thatcher on May 8,1993, in Odessa, Texas. Shannon and Michael moved to Mannheim, Germany where they lived for three years. Shannon and Michael moved to Odessa from Germany in 1995 and then moved to Carrollton in 1996. Shannon is survived by her husband, Michael Roy Wyatt of Carrollton, Tx., whom she was married to until her death; their son, Hayden Ray Wyatt who resides with his father; her stepdaughter, Jessie Wyatt of Lubbock, Tx., father-in-law Kenneth Ray Wyatt; stepmother-in-law, Rebekah Wyatt; stepsister-in-law, Candace Perry; stepsister-in-law, Victoria Perry; brother-in-law, Steve Wyatt; sister- in-law, Paula Wyatt; niece, Bethany Wyatt; nephew, Jonathan Wyatt all of Odessa, Texas; sister-in-law, Mitzi Wyatt of Brownwood, Tx; and brother, Shane Thatcher of Odessa. Funeral services were held April 4, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Shannon fought a courageous battle with cancer with the support of her husband, Michael Wyatt and son, Hayden Wyatt and other family and friends. She was very loved and will be deeply forever missed. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Hospice House. Glen (Benny) LeRoy Clark ODESSA - Glen (Benny) LeRoy Clark died peacefully at Odessa's Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, April 11, 2002. Glen was born April 29, 1918 in El Dorado, Kan. He moved to Odessa in 1935 where he met and married Annie L. Pegues in 1936. Glen proudly served his country in World War II in the Air Force as a B-29 plane commander and pilot in the South Pacific. He worked as a supervisor in oilfield construction throughout his life and had a passion for fishing with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his son. He is survived by his wife, Annie; daughter, Emily (Mimi); sons, Glen (Trey) and Ken; granddaughters, Terri, Julie and Beau; two brothers, Harry and Gene; great- grandchildren, Zachary and Amanda; and many other relatives and friends. Glen asked that no funeral or memorial service be held and that in lieu of flowers, friends and family make memorial contributions to the Odessa Fire Department, First Christian Church of Odessa or the charity of one's choice.
