All rights reserved ================================================================================ ============ Tuesday May 21, 2002 Obituaries Nancy Marie Gregory ODESSA - Nancy Marie Gregory, 41, of Austin passed away Friday, May 17, 2002. She was born Sept. 9, 1960, to Bill and Patsy Baldwin in Farmington, N.M. Nancy married Bill Gregory Oct. 6, 1979, in Dallas. They moved to Austin three years ago from Forney. She worked for Palomar Financial for 10 years as the director of finance. She enjoyed water skiing, crafts, flying and her dogs, Sergeant and Alex. Her mother and in-laws Carl and Ora Lee Gregory preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Bill Gregory of Austin; sons, Max Gregory and Chris Gregory, both of Austin; father, Bill Baldwin and wife Barbara of Odessa; stepbrother, William Thomas Jr. and wife Cindy of Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Karen Jackson and husband Rick of Odessa and Debby Greer and husband Rick Taylor of Big Spring; and stepsisters, Sarah Lauxman and husband Doug of Towanda, Kan., and Christine Werth and husband Ken of Wichita, Kan. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 21, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Marion Juanita Young Clark ODESSA - Marion Clark passed away at the age of 70 Monday, May 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital after a short illness. She had lived in Odessa since June 1956. Marion was born June 21, 1931, to Henry and Katherine Young in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. Marion married B.J. Clark on Oct. 1, 1949, in Randolph Field. Marion was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Odessa. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. Marion is survived by her husband, B.J. Clark; a daughter, Debbie McFarlane and husband James of Odessa; son, Robert Clark and wife Wendy of Plano; son, Chris Clark of Davenport, Fla.; a brother, Henry Young Jr. of San Antonio; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 21, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Deines officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Susie Jewell Lawson ODESSA - Susie Jewell Sadler Lawson, a loving Christian devoted to Christ, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2002, in San Angelo. Mrs. Lawson lived in Odessa for over 35 years until she moved to San Angelo in 1996. She was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Altus, Okla., and married Louie Harold "Pee Wee" Lawson in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Lawson was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church and spent most of her life teaching Sunday school. She was a member of the Jolly Seniors at Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest Sadler and Darby Sadler of Altus, Okla. She is survived by her son, Don Lawson and wife Mary of Odessa; daughter, Jeanette Bennett and husband Danny of San Angelo; two grandsons, Jack Lawson of Odessa and Dan Lawson and wife Susan of Katy; great-grandchildren, Danali Lawson of Katy, Heather, Hillary and Hunter Lawson of Sonora and Cindy Bennett of Midland; also numerous nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, all of whom she loved very much. Pallbearers are Jack Lawson, Dan Lawson, Don Hooper, Bill Myers, Jim Trainor and Sherman Norwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Griffin Jones officiating. Donny Sanford ODESSA - Donny Sanford, 54, of Odessa passed away Sunday, May 19, 2002, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. He was born Oct. 14, 1947, in Kilgore. He moved to Odessa in 1954 from Kilgore and married Judy Adams on June 4, 1969, in Odessa. He was owner of Sanford Sails from 1983 to the present time. He was a member of Calvary Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Judy Sanford of Odessa; daughter, Cari Loffler of Odessa; uncle, Kenneth Sanford of Longview; mother, Aida Sanford of Odessa; brother, Mark Sanford of Odessa; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nephews and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Hubbard- Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Leonard Cotten and Tony Garcia officiating.
