All rights reserved =========================================================================== Wednesday June 26, 2002 Helen Joyce Lindsey ODESSA - Helen Joyce Lindsey, 77, passed away Monday, June 24, 2002, in Eldorado. She was born Feb. 20, 1925, to Alvie and Fannie Fore in Healdton, Okla. Services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Helen married Paul E. Lindsey on July 5, 1943, in Healdton, Okla. She moved to Eldorado four months ago from Oklahoma City. She was a longtime resident of Andrews and she was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. Her husband and parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald E. Lindsey and wife Debra of Aledo and Floyd P. Lindsey and wife Donna of Levelland; daughters, Diane Burich and husband Phillip of Natchez, Miss., and Gail Leatherwood and husband Don of Sonora; brother, Alvie F. Fore Jr. and wife Gloria of Spring; sisters, Leota Brown and husband Barry of Seminole, Peggy Dickerson of Shelter Island, N.Y., and Yvonne Fore of Graham; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials to In Search of the Lord's Way, P.O. Box 371, Edmond, Okla., 73083-0371. Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Carolyn K Montgomery ODESSA - Carolyn K Montgomery, age 62, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2002, in Houston. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Bart Montgomery and Boyd Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Carolyn K Montgomery was born Feb. 24, 1940, in Brady to Joe and Sibyle Reynolds. K married Hershel Montgomery on July 6, 1958. She and Hershey resided in Odessa for 43 years. K loved football. Her expert advice: "Don't take Dallas for the openers." She also enjoyed music, Scrabble, the piano, shooting pool, crosswords and chess. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Her parents preceded her in death. K is survived by her husband, Hershel Montgomery of Odessa; daughters, Kelli Troup and her husband Brad of Houston and Traci Blair of Brownwood; sister, Bonnie Childers of Midland and Penny Tharp of Canon City, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Dustin Blair of Odessa, Casey Blair of Brownwood and Alexandria and Kassidy Troup of Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Memorial Hermann Continuing Care Hospital, 3043 Gessner, Houston, Texas, 77080. Services are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
