All rights reserved =========================================================================== Friday July 05, 2002 Dale Clinton ODESSA - Dale Clinton, 80, of Odessa, a retired supervisor for Odessa College, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He is survived by his wife, Fedelia "Faye" Clinton of Odessa; sons, Bobby Clinton of Fort Worth and Curtis Clinton of Slaton; daughters, Evelyn Clinton and Carolyn Clinton, both of Odessa; brother, Kenneth "Bob" Clinton of Palm Springs, Calif.; sisters, Virgrea Session Jean Lacey and Inez Taylor, all of Palm Springs, Calif., Mary Lucas Spencer of Long Beach, Calif., Dorothy Johnson of Banning, Calif. and Bonnie McClendon of San Bernadino, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Mose Clinton and his mother Offie Scourten. He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Garrison, Texas, the son of Mose and Offie (Scourten) Clinton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, having attained the rank of Private First Class. He enlisted on Feb. 11, 1942, and was discharged on March 1, 1946 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Viewing and visitation will be today, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Rose of Sharon with the Rev. J.W. Hanson, pastor of Rose of Sharon, officiating. Burial will follow in the Ector Cemetery in Odessa with military honors. Sandra Gage ODESSA - Sandra Gage, age 61, of Odessa, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1940, in Odessa to O.C. and Mary Wofford. She lived most of her life in Odessa, having graduated from Odessa High School in 1959. She was a very loving wife and mother and was an energetic and caring homemaker. Mrs. Gage gave of herself greatly to anyone that she met. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, in the Chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Gage will lie in state from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and the family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment service will be Monday, July 8, 2002, at Bear Creek Cemetery in Burnett County, Texas. Mrs. Gage is survived by her husband, Bobby Gage of Odessa; a son, Gary Gage of Arlington; a daughter, Leslie Bosworth of Odessa; four grandchildren, Katie, Caleb and Collin Gage of Arlington and Haley Czarnikow of Odessa; a sister, Mary Johnson; and a brother, Frank Merton. He was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Greenwood, Ark. to Earnest and Almedia Glass. Don came to Odessa in 1951 from Arkansas. He attended Grace Baptist Church. His father, Earnest Glass and brother Ronnie Glass preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother Almedia Glass of Odessa; brother Randy Glass of Odessa; sister Linda Autry of Odessa; sons, Michael Glass of Odessa and Don Glass of Beaumont; grandchildren, Mikayla Glass, Daniel Bishop, Amber and Chris Ybarra, Gary Don Glass, Terry Don Glass, and Jesica Dawn Glass; one great- grandchild, Levi Glass; several nieces & a nephew. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. George William Hillger, Jr. ODESSA - George William Hillger Jr., of Odessa, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at his residence. He was born to George and Helen Hillger Sr., Dec. 29, 1922, in Fort Stockton. While in Fort Stockton, George was a Texaco consignee and after moving to Odessa in 1979 he became a real estate broker. He was a master mason for over 50 years with Masonic Lodge 1022 in Fort Stockton. Survivors include his wife, June Moore Hillger of Odessa; son, George W. Hillger III of Odessa; step-son, Kenneth M. Moore of Abilene; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Graveside and Masonic services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell and Masonic Lodge 1022 officiating. If desired memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa. Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
