All rights reserved =========================================================================== Thursday July 18, 2002 Louise Milburn ODESSA - Louise Buckner Milburn, 74, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Hospice House in Odessa. She was born Dec. 19, 1927, in San Marcos to Walter and Edith Buckner. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2002, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Trout officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 18, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Louise married Cullom Milburn in September 1947 in San Marcos. They moved to Odessa in 1948. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church. She was also a supporter and active member of the Junior League, Presidential Museum, Ellen Noel Art Museum, Symphony, Art Institute of the Permian Basin, P.E.O. and the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was a wordsmith and loved reading. Spending time with her family and friends brought her much joy. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Corwin and Dr. Watkins and staff, and also the Allison Cancer Center and Hospice. Her husband Cullom preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by her son, Bill Milburn and wife Kim of Austin; daughters, Nancy Milburn Granaghan and husband Dr. Tom Granaghan of San Angelo and Julia Milburn of Midland; brother, Bud Buckner and wife Sarah of Uvalde; and four grandchildren, Katie, John, Ben and Jill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of Midland and Hospice House of Odessa. Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
