Stubbs ODESSA - Leland R. Stubbs, 72, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, in Odessa. He was born July 7, 1930, to Joseph and Elgie Stubbs in Stanton, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 12, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with John Windham officiating. Leland came to Odessa in the mid ’40s from Denton, Texas. He married Alice Ann on July 12, 1952, in Odessa. He worked as a PBX repair man for Southwestern Bell, AT&T and Lucent Technology for 35 years before retiring in 1983. He was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge where he was 33-degree mason. His mother and father, a brother Paul, a sister Dorothy Jones and a cousin Bill Sparks preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Alice Stubbs of Odessa; daughters, Kay Macon of Odessa and Ann Stubbs of Houston; sister, Mildred Hart of the Woodlands; adopted daughter, Helen Pike of Kingman, Ariz.; grandchildren, Cheryl Isbell and husband Jeff and Mandy Haney and husband Rocky; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Michael Haney and Zachary Ross Isbell.
