Brown ODESSA - Funeral services for Marcella E. Brown, age 87, formerly of Odessa, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Frankhauser officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brown passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at Old Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 28, 1914, in Dunewig, Mo. She married H.T. Brown Jr. on Dec. 15, 1936, in Diamond, Mo. They lived in Missouri and New Mexico, before moving to Texas in 1942. Mr. Brown preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1992. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker until her children were grown, when she returned to college and received her degree from Central State Teachers College in Edmond, Okla. in 1967 and taught second grade for the Kirtland School District near Farmington, N.M., for 11 years. Mrs. Brown and her husband retired to their home in Odessa in 1978 where she resided for the next 27 years. During retirement Mrs. Brown traveled extensively and was a volunteer at the Odessa Medical Center for 15 years. Survivors include a son, Mike Brown of Odessa; two daughters, Barbara Hill of Lubbock and Sara Hicks of Devine; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to a favorite Hospice organization. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Neil D. Fitzpatrick WHON- Neil D. Fitzpatrick, 48, of Odessa, passed away at his residence on Aug. 15, 2002. He was born Nov. 10, 1953, in Brownwood to Graham and Imogene Fitzpatrick. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at the First Baptist Church in Santa Anna. Interment will be in Whon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Imogene Snowden Fitzpatrick and sister Cheryl Bullion. Mr. Fitzpatrick was employed for 20 years at West Texas Cat. He was a mason. He was a loving husband, father and son to his wife, Kathy Fitzpatrick of Odessa; son, Spencer Fitzpatrick of Coleman; daughters, Josilyn Fitzpatrick of San Angelo, Ashley Fitzpatrick of Brenham, Whitney Fitzpatrick of Coleman; stepson, Quentin Wimberly of Odessa; stepdaughter, Veronica Wimberley of Odessa; father, Graham Fitzpatrick of Whon, Texas; and a brother, Don Fitzpatrick of Whon. Funeral services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Kenneth Kyle Kelly GOLDEN, Colo. - Kenneth Kyle Kelly died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at his home in Golden, Colo. Kenneth was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Odessa. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1939, and from West Texas State University in 1950. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. Kenneth married Dorothy White on July 4, 1947, in Clifton, Texas. Kenneth was a member of the ECISD faculty serving as principal in the Milam and Goldsmith elementaries. Kenneth and his family moved to Golden, Colo., In 1959 where he was a principal in the Golden school district. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Golden; one son, Kent of Golden; one daughter, Lucy Martin of Grand Island, Neb.; two brothers, Jay Kelly of Odessa and Dr. Emmett "Pat" Kelly of Pflugerville; and four grandchildren. Funeral services and burial are Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, in Golden, Colo. Bertha Bell ‘Tince’ Little LAMESA - Bertha Bell "Tince" Little went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002. Bell was born Aug. 10, 1922, to Richard Colbert Kilgore and Bertha Mae Higginbotham (Kilgore) in Lamesa. She attended school in Mount Olive and Lamesa. Bell married Dan Little on Jan. 25, 1948 in Abilene, Texas. They moved to Odessa in 1950. Bertha is survived by her husband Dan; daughter, Mary McCrury and husband Darnell; grandchildren, Michael McCrury and wife Margie and Shauna McConnel and husband Ed. The joy of her later years was her great-grandson, Zachary McCrury. Bell was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy; two brothers, Boyd and Brooks Kilgore; a sister, Edna Haney and her parents. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at the Harvester’s Class at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lamesa Cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Stephanie L. Munden MIDLAND - Stephanie L. Munden passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Stephanie was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Guymon, Okla., and had been a resident of Midland since 1977. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Nichols; and her father-in-law, Howard Munden. Stephanie is survived by her husband, Steve Munden; her son, Jeff Munden and his wife Leisha and granddaughter, Brynn Danielle Munden, all of Midland; her mother, LaMoyne Nichols of Odessa; mother-in-law, Rose Munden of Midland. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Midland Memorial Hospital and the Allison Cancer Center for the wonderful care that was given to Stephanie. Graveside services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2002, at Resthaven Memorial Park with Reverend Lane Boyd officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Darlyene ‘Polly’ Roberson ODESSA - Darlyene "Polly" Roberson, age 79, of Odessa, went to be with her Lord on Aug. 17, 2002, at Hospice House in Odessa. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Darlyene was born May 19, 1923, in Paris, Tenn., to Edmond B. and Emma McCuiston. She grew up in Eastland, Texas. She married William K. Roberson on Sept. 5, 1941, in Paris, Tenn. After William returned from the service, they moved to Odessa in 1947. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for many years. She worked as an L.V.N. at Medical Center Hospital before retiring. Later, she worked several years for Dr. Glen Williams. She enjoyed sewing and doll making. She loved being with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, William of Odessa; daughters, Judy Heslep of Odessa and Claudia Roberson of Odessa; a son, Bill Roberson and his wife Liz of Odessa grandchildren, Angie Crow and husband Steve of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Katherine Nelson and husband Shawn of Canyon Lake and Chris Roberson and wife Summer of Round Rock; four great-grandchildren, Kelly, Casey and Kevin Crow and Will Nelson; brothers, E.B. McCuiston and wife Jeri of Farmington, N.M., Jim McCuiston and wife Barbara of Granbury; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and a sister, Rita Willoughby, preceded her in death.
