All rights reserved =========================================================================== Saturday, September 07, 2002 Opal Loretta Taylor Bentley MONAHANS - Opal Loretta Taylor Bentley passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, in her home. She was born in Throckmorton, Texas, May, 17, 1910. She married George Russel Bentley Jan. 10, 1926. Opal was a resident of Ward County since 1928. She was a Baptist and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. For many years, Opal played a part in the Ward County Live Stock Show and was involved in numerous youth programs and community activities. Because of her interest in the youth of Ward County, she donated the George and Opal Bentley 4-H Center across from the Ward County Coliseum. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lundy of Commerce, Texas, Leoata Taylor of Odessa, Texas, and Garnette Murry of Fort Stockton, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry of Monahans or the Senior Citizens Center of Ward County. Services will be Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Monahans. Burial will follow in Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
