Richard E. ‘Dick’ Norman

ODESSA - Richard E. "Dick" Norman, 79, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at Hospice House. He was born Dec. 23, 1922, to Ernest and Anna Norman in Seymour, Conn. He married Elizabeth Marie Evans on Dec. 28, 1947.
"Dick" was a resident of Odessa since 1948. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a natural born mechanic and engineer. He owned Stainless Steel Fabricators Inc., Dick Norman and Normco. He was in manufacturing for 40 years. He was also a jeweler. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and metal work.
Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Sept. 18, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Marie Norman; two daughters, Sherry White and husband Ron of Odessa and Tanada Whisenhunt and husband Ray of Bedford; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
