All rights reserved =========================================================================== Saturday October 05, 2002 Fred Acosta Dominguez ODESSA - Fred "Chapo" Dominguez, age 86, of Odessa died Oct. 4, 2002, at Avalon Nursing Center. He was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Marfa, Texas, to Vivian and Juanita Dominguez. His hobbies were woodworking, painting, fishing and playing cards. He was a happy man with lots of humor and love, who enjoyed being around family and friends. He will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Dola Dominguez of Odessa; daughter, Mary Sanchez of Odessa; son, Freddie Dominguez of Odessa; six grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. The Rev. Dr. John Sellers Rasco ODESSA - Rev. Dr. John Rasco died Oct. 3, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1912, in Prattville, Ala., to William Austin and Glennie Sellers Rasco. Dr. Rasco came to Odessa in 1954 from Texarkana, Texas. He was the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Odessa for 24 years. He is survived by a daughter, Audrey Chartier of Odessa; brothers, Roy Rasco of San Jose, Calif., Tommy Rasco and wife Miriam of Birmingham, Ala., and Harold Rasco and wife Charlotte of Birmingham; three grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, John Chartier and his son Zeke of Las Vegas, Nev.; his daughters, Dawn, Christy and Toni, all of Richardson; Michael Chartier and wife Susan of Wiley; their daughters, Taylor and Heather and son, Kevin Chartier, all of Hurst, and two nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at First Baptist Church, with Revs. H. Bailey Stone and Curtis Brewer officiating. Services have been entrusted to Frank W.
