All rights reserved =========================================================================== Saturday October 19, 2002 Terry Richard Scott Lucero ODESSA - Richard Scott Lucero, 35, of Odessa passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born May 7, 1967, in Lovington, N.M. He married Teresa Worley on Oct. 21, 1989, in Odessa. Richard was a devoted family man. He loved his wife and boys very much. He worked as a tubular service technician for Hydril Company for 12 years. Richard loved woodworking and blessed many people with his lovely creations. He is loved and missed by so many wonderful family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Lucero; sons, Jacob, Joshua and Jarett Lucero, all of Odessa; parents, Nickie and Rob Kelly of Odessa and Joe and Maria Lucero of Dexter, N.M.; grandparents, Ruben and Arcenia Lucero and Nick and Betty Clemenza, all of Dexter, N.M.; brother, Tony Lucero of Austin; sisters, Michelle Nelson and her husband of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jocelyn Lucero of Dexter, N.M.; aunts and uncles, Kay and Jake Trujillo, Tony and Becky Clemenza, Teri and John Joyce, Chris Clemenza, Joe an Candy Clemenza and many wonderful friends. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. today, Oct. 19, 2002, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Living Bank, P.O. Box 6725, Houston, TX, 77265. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Doyle G. McBride ODESSA - Doyle G. McBride, 72, of Odessa, passed away Oct. 18, 2002. He was born to Roy Lee McBride and Anna Cantwell McBride on Oct. 8, 1930, in Abernathy, Texas. He married Josephine Cotton on Feb. 8, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, and has lived in and around Odessa for over 40 years. Mr. McBride was the owner and operator of McBride Trucking for 13 years and was also in the radiator business for 20 years. Doyle was a very respected, down-to- earth man who knew no strangers. His family was his pride and joy, and he loved them very much. Mr. McBride was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee McBride; his mother, Anna Cantwell McBride; and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Josephine McBride of Odessa; his sons, Michael McBride and wife Anna of Odessa; Russell McBride and wife Reba of Odessa; his daughters, Bobbie Dirden and husband Richard of Odessa, Mary Stewart of Midland and Barney Smith of Odessa; brother, Bill McBride of Odessa; and sister, Dorothy Skidmore of Roanoke, Va. He has eight grandsons, four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Mike Bartlett of Greenfield Acres Baptist Church will be officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice House or to Home Hospice. Lottie Bell Mobbs ODESSA - Lottie Bell Mobbs, 86, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at the Hospice House. She was born on January 21, 1916, in Longview, Texas, to Tom and Amanda Pearl Tutt into a family of 12 children. She was a longtime resident of Odessa and a homemaker. Lottie was always known as the sweetest mother that ever was. She was a wonderful Christian woman who was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Eugene Mobbs in 1996; son, Bernard Eugene Mobbs in 1985; brothers, Robert, Otis, Pete and James Tutt; sisters, Katie Bryant, Betty Wyble, Georgia Clemens and Ruby Crawford; and granddaughter, Angelique Mobbs. She is survived by her son, Larry Mobbs and wife Teresa of Odessa; daughter, Peggy Bowler and husband Richard of Fullerton, Calif.; brothers, Joe Tutt of Longview and J.W. "Buck" Tutt of Mesquite; sister, Tommie Perkins of Tyler; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at the Winterfield Methodist Church Cemetery in Longview.
