All rights reserved =========================================================================== Obit Notices Monday November 04, 2002 Maggie Ruth Baiza ODESSA - Maggie Ruth Baiza was born in Rosebud, Texas, on Dec. 11, 1934, to the late Booker T Barfield and Ruby Cooper Barfield. She was educated in the Rosebud School District where she received her high school diploma. After four years as a clerk with the Attorney General’s office, she retired prior to her demise. She was a member of the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Where she served faithfully as a member of the SWAT Ministry, Greeters Ministry, "Golden Girls" Kitchen Ministry and the Mission Ministry. She loved her family, pastor, church family, co-workers and everyone she encountered uncondtionally. She departed her earthly home on Friday, Nov. 1, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barfield; a son, Billy Rae Gordon; sister, Doris Duke; and nephews, Tommy Moore and Clarence Wesley. She is survived by her son, Booker T. Dixon and wife Kattie of Odessa; daughter, Jessie Mae Medlock of Odessa; five grandchildren, Terry Lynne Medlock, Jasmine Dixon, Ashely Hutchins, Dechelle Duffy and Dominic Lamar Dixon, all of Odessa; and two godchildren, Quention Robinson and Tekie Robinson, both of Odessa. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church by the Rev. J.W. Hanson, who is the pastor and officiant. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
