All rights reserved =========================================================================== Wednesday November 20, 2002 Permian Basin Obituaries William Jackson "Jack" Feeler, Jr. William Jackson "Jack" Feeler, Jr., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Baylor University Medical Center. He was born in Ranger May 21, 1922, to William Jackson Feeler, Sr., and Annie Claytonia Feeler. He lived in Crane for several years, and moved to Odessa in 1936. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Feeler worked as a pipeline welder until 1962, when he, O.L. Rogge, Jr., and Bobby Brown founded Three Way Constructors, Inc. Mr. Feeler continued to operate the business until he retired in 1996. He and his wife, Madlynne, were married in Odessa May 20, 1982. Together they owned Lexa, Inc. They have resided in Cedar Hill since his retirement. Mr. Feeler served as a deacon at Sherwood Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher and active member for over 30 years. He served on the board of Bank of The West in Odessa and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Pipeline Contractors’ Association. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Neill Feeler; his daughter, Patti Diane Stamper; and his granddaughter, Sharyle Hussey. Jack Feeler is survived by his wife, Madlynne of Cedar Hill; sons Larry Feeler of Odessa; Billy Feeler and wife Lori of Odessa, David Hunton of Artesia, Calvin Rucker and wife Krel of Fort Worth, and Dennis Rucker of Cedar Hill; daughters Judy Pease and husband Jay of Odessa, Melody Bush of Odessa, and Carole Hunton of Odessa; and son-in-law Jim Stamper of Cedar Hill. He is survived by grandchildren Tanisha Steadman; Kelan Stamper; Derrick, Jeffery, and Adrianne Bush; Chase, Rachel, Natalie, Dodge, Ross, Deondra, and Ta’Lor Feeler; and Cari and Tana Rucker. He also has three surviving great-grandchildren, Kambri and Karlye Steadman and Ethan Bush. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa with the Rev. Lenard Hartley of San Angelo officiating. Graveside services will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Anita Ramos ODESSA - Anita Ramos, 58, of Odessa passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at her residence. She was born June 15, 1944, in Las Cruces, N.M. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, R.C. and Francis Black. Anita was a strong, boisterous character with an independent spirit. She was a mother of seven and a wife of 36 years. She always talked about traveling and experiencing more of the world. Unfortunately, her death did not permit her to do so. Now she is able to do all that she wanted and more. In her later years, she emphasized growth, change and forgiveness when she spoke to her loved ones. Her words will definitely be remembered. We love and miss you Mama. She is survived by her husband, Abel Ramos of Odessa; sons, Christopher Caleb Ramos of Odessa and Billy Vincent of Georgia; daughters Charlotte Allshire of Mansfield, Diane Greene of Fort Worth, Sofia Ramos of Amarillo and Suzanna Ramos of Austin; brothers, Bobby Black of North Carolina and Kenneth Black of Denver; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Norena Morgan Rogers ODESSA - Norena Morgan Rogers, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002. She was born to W.E. and Ada Morgan in Walville, Okla., July 17, 1917. She attended school in Oklahoma. She later married and raised her family in Odessa. Thereafter, she spent some years in Big Spring and was proud to be an RSVP volunteer in that community. She happily returned to live in Odessa this year. She was a beloved sister, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Bill and Burl Morgan. She is survived by her daughter Marlene Rogers of Midland; her grandson, Mark Scott and wife Marla of Gardendale; her granddaughter Lori Cargile and husband Mickey of Midland; her grandson Matthew Scott and wife Angela of Odessa; and her brothers, Ray Morgan of Las Vegas, Nev., and Reginald Morgan of Beeville. A memorial service for friends and family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002,at the home of Lori and Mickey Cargile. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any remembrances be made to the Hospice House of Odessa; their comfort and care were appreciated. Services entrusted to Memorial Services of Odessa. Maggie Lu Whitmore ODESSA - Maggie Lu Whitmore, 89, of Odessa passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Seabury Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Coalgate, Okla. She married Ed Whitmore Dec. 3, 1934, in Midland. He preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Whitmore was a longtime resident of Odessa and a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a former cafeteria worker for the Ector County Independent School District and retired after ten years of service. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Fran Duggan, and grandchildren, Bud, David, and Jo Karlyn. She is survived by her sons, Edy Whitmore of San Antonio and Joe Whitmore and wife Cecilia of Houston; daughter, Candace McDougall and husband Bill of Odessa; sister, Jo Griffin of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Mildred Whitmore of Arlington; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Wes Duckett officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
