All rights reserved =========================================================================== Tuesday, December 10, 2002 Permian Basin Obituaries Ruby Burrow MIDLAND - Ruby Burrow passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Ruby Jane Cannon Burrow was born December 22, 1918, in Red River Parrish, La., to Bidie and Fronie Stapler Cannon. Ruby grew up in Jones County, Texas. She married Zack Burrow in 1935 in Hamlin. They moved to Midland in 1945. Ruby was a nurses aide for 19 years at Midland Memorial Hospital and a member of Living Way - Four Square Church of Midland. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Zack Burrow; three daughters, Dorothy Walker, Fern Duncan, and Leona Hodges; and one son, George "Joe" Burrow. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Burrow and his wife, Jeannie of Midland; three daughters, Sue Sowers and her husband, Jesse of Pennsylvania, Claujean "Super" Hankins and her husband, Charles of Odessa, and Josie Cooper and her husband, James of Midland; one brother, Pete Cannon of Roswell, N.M.; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. "Jr" Erwin officiating, assisted by J.D. Crawford. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Maria Tavarez ODESSA - Maria Tavarez, 60, of Odessa passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at her residence. She was born to Pedro and Salome Flores Jan. 18, 1942, in El Vado de Piedra, Chih, Mexico. She married Fransico Tavarez in Ojinaga, Chih, Mexico, and came to Odessa in 1980. She was a homemaker, Christian and a member of the Cathedral De Alabanza Church. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral De Alabanza Church, 601 N. Lauderdale, with the Rev. Pedro Emiliano officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Salome Flores. Survivors are husband, Francisco Tavarez of Odessa; sons Francisco Javier Tavarez, Gerardo Tavarez and Jorge Tavarez, all of Odessa; daughters, Rosa Ramon of Lubbock, Maria Isabel Acosta and Beatrice Tavarez, both of Odessa, and Ayde Tavarez of Mississippi; brothers, Manuel Flores of Los Angles, Calif., and Refugio Flores of Presidio; sisters, Antonia Ronquillo of Ojinaga, Chih, Mexico, Reyes Vega of El Paso, Maria Luz Hinojos, Dulces Adame and Alicia Quinonez, all of Odessa; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services entrusted to Odessa Funeral Home. Lottie Ellen (Graham) Everhart ODESSA - Lottie Everhart, 82, of Odessa passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born Aug. 4, 1920, to Lewis and Bertie Lee Graham in Stroud, Okla. They preceded her in death. Lottie married Ollie Edwin Everhart Sept. 9, 1939, in Quitaque. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1993. She moved to Odessa in 1951. She retired from Medical Center Hospital where she was an LVN for many years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Edwin J. Everhart and wife Linda of Sweetwater; her daughters, Ellen J. Jackson of Odessa and Tiajuana R. Davidson and husband Robert of Tatum; brother, M. Ray Graham of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
