All rights reserved =========================================================================== Friday, December 13, 2002 Permian Basin Obituaries Laura Atchison ODESSA - Laura Atchison, 73, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at the Parks Methodist Retirement Village. She was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Pampa. She married D.L. Atchison on March 21, 1948, in Perryton. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1996. Mrs. Atchison moved to Odessa in 1956 from Perryton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian faith. She is survived by her son, Danny Atchison and wife Robin of Odessa; daughter, Diana Rhinehart of Bullard; brothers, Rusty Taylor, John Taylor and Gary Taylor, all of Perryton; two grandchildren, Dawn and Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Kaylie. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Donna Perkins ODESSA - Donna Sue Perkins, 46, of Odessa passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at the Hospice House. She was born Nov. 3, 1956, in Hobbs, N.M. Donna was a very loving and caring person to all who she met. She did not judge others. She was always willing to help others. She loved country dancing. She was a member of the West Texas Singles and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Chambliss, brother, Clifford Chambliss, and step-father Herman Prentice. She is survived by her mother, Doris Prentice of Odessa; daughters, Holly S. Perkins of Big Spring, Tamara Y. Perkins of Odessa and Cynthia D. Perkins of Odessa; sisters, Janice Payne of Weaverville, N.C. and Belinda Bilbrey of Blanket. The family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Cathy Ragsdale ODESSA - Cathy Rene Ragsdale, 44, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1957, in Lubbock to Robert and Tahwanah McRee. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Riley officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock. Cathy was a member of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce, Immanuel Baptist and Odessa Board of Realtors. She was employed at First American Bank, as Mortgage Lending Assistance, where she received the honor of being named Texas State Employee of Year 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Khara Rene Harris, Erica Anne Ragsdale and Rachel Alana Ragsdale, all of Odessa; their father, Ricky Ragsdale of Odessa; parents, Tahwanah and the late George Brown and Robert McRee of Lubbock; brothers, David Brown and Buddy Brown, both of Lakeland, Fla., Jimmy L. Brown and Danny McRee, both of Brownwood; sisters, Bridget Stroud of Austin and Sabrina Brown of Richardson; and two grandchildren.
