All rights reserved =========================================================================== Saturday December 28, 2002 Permian Basin Obituaries William ‘Bill’ W. Clark ODESSA - William "Bill" W. Clark was born Feb. 8, 1937, in Good, W.Va., to Gordon and Carmen Clark. He was called home to be with his Lord Monday, Dec. 23, 2002. Bill was raised in the hills of West Virginia where he and his family operated a sawmill. He had many fond memories of cutting timber and he had a great love and respect for the outdoors and all of God’s creations. Bill joined the Air Force in 1954 and was transferred to Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring after he completed his firefighting training. Bill met and fell in love with Jeanine Hill and they were married Nov. 2, 1957, in Seminole. Upon completion of his service duty, he went to work for Texas Electric as a lineman. He worked as a system operator for several years before becoming a line patrolman. He retired from Texas Electric after 35 years of service. Bill was a gentle, loving man that was extremely devoted to his family and church, Kingston Ave. Baptist Church, where he was a member for 35 years. Bill was involved with many different organizations through the years, which included the Boy Scouts, Royal Ambassadors and the Odessa Optimist Club. He had a special place in his heart for all children. His favorite charities were the Christian Children’s Fund and St. Jude’s Hospital. Bill was the perfect example of what a husband, father, grandfather and friend should be. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Clark, and oldest son, William Clark. Bill is survived by his mother, Carmen Bunner and step-father, Alfred, of West Virginia; his wife of 45 years, Jeanine Clark; son, Mark Clark and son and daughter-in-law, Darren and D’Ann Clark of Odessa; daughter-in-law, Lana Clark of West Virginia; grandchildren, Brandon Clark of New Mexico, Cori Clark, Justin Clark, Brady Clark and Derek Clark, all of Odessa, Will Clark and Jessica Clark, both of West Virginia; great-grandchild, Alena Clark of Fort Worth; brothers, Robert Clark of West Virginia, Randall Clark of Maryland, Dennie Clark and wife, Delores, of Virginia, and Gene Clark and wife, Christine, of Florida; sister, Juanita Dabbs and husband, David, of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephew, Ronnie Clark of Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Judes or your favorite children’s charity would be appreciated. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Billy John Isenberger DALLAS - Billy John Isenberger was born Sept. 28, 1927, to Charles and Louise Isenberger and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, in Tyler. Bill was an avid sports fan of Southern Methodist University in particular. He was an excellent musician and began playing bugle while attending Alamo Heights in San Antonio. He was first chair in the all-state band and a member of the San Antonio symphony by age 13. He played football and was a member of the marching band at McAllen High School, where he also began his own dance band. After high school he attended Edinburg Junior College (now Pan-American). He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1945 and served in Japan at Sasebo. After his army service, he completed junior college and then entered SMU, where he was a member of the Mustang Band and ATO fraternity. He graduated in 1951 with a B.B.A. degree and worked with U.S. Rubber in Odessa, Chicago and New Orleans. He then worked with Victor-Balata Belting, Thomas Systems and as a manufacturer’s representative for various companies. After retirement, he lived in the Hideaway Lake area near Tyler, then decided to continue working. He was always ready with a joke and enjoyed helping his friends. He was extremely patriotic and proudly served his country. In 1953 he married Margaret Mae Hudson and they enjoyed 49 years and one month of marriage. She survives him. From that union they were blessed with two wonderful children and their spouses, Ellen Kudlicki and her husband, Brian, of Carrollton, and William J. Isenberger and his wife, Dorothy Lynn Berry "Dotti", of Baton Rouge, La. He is also survived by three really neat grandchildren, Christi, 18, Mike, 16, and Bobby Kudlicki, 13. He was a devout believer and especially enjoyed using music as a prayer. There was no church in Hideaway but he read his Bible everyday and followed television ministry and attended Churchill Way Presbyterian when in Dallas. Dr. Willis Tate was his guiding mentor at Alamo Heights and SMU. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. Family to receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2002, at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diamond M Club of Southern Methodist University, the SMU Alumni Association or the charity of your choice. Leslie Goheen ODESSA - Leslie Wayne "Les" Goheen, 68, of Odessa, our loving father and husband, left us to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002. He was born March 6, 1934, in Anton. He started out as a farmer, then worked in the oilfield for 25 years. In 1975, he and his son opened Goheen Alignment in Odessa. After operating the business for 25 years, he retired in 2001. His son, Donnie, and grandson, Jeramy, still own and operate it. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Lovington, N.M. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Irene Goheen of Odessa; son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Kathy Goheen of Gardendale; daughters, Debbie Hall of Schertz and Sue Goheen of Odessa; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Debbie Watkins of Odessa; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to whom he was lovingly known as "Papa"; brothers, Tommy of Hereford, Owen of Odessa, Clarence of Pentictin, British Columbia, Wesley of Lewisville and Jerry of Littlefield; sisters, Vernie Jamison of Plainview, Janell Hollers of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Dora Goheen of Levelland; and many nieces and nephews he loved very much. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Weeks Dubose officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
