J. Terry in Junction City to Miss Annie Bradford in Edwards County. (Annie married Sam Hough in 1897.) "Junction City March 24, 1890 Dear Annie: I have cut your and Ellen basque patterns and put the name of each on both back and front of patterns so you will not be bothered. Only cut 1 sleeve pattern if it is too long double in the center of length until right. Ellen's pattern is the coat back basque which the fashion plates show to be very stylish. The long coats are going out. Aggie never brought any thread here to send you. And I have never found Ellen's veil. Some one must have worn it off by mistake. I send your skirts one of which was left here when you moved and I forgot it last winter when you were here. Your Pin we found out in front of the shop room door. You and Ellen come down for May day as the young folks intend to have some kind of Pleasure on that day. Good bye S. J. Terry I suppose Ellen will recognize the yard of embroidery. She left it here last fall and I forgot all about it until I found it in the drawer." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
