Benjamin Washington Hickey (Joseph) was born August 14, 1832 Georgia to Joseph 
Hickey and Sarah ?  Benjamin Hickey died December 8, 1907 Ellis CO, TX

His father, Joseph Hickey, lived in Twiggs CO, TA before moving to Crawford CO, 
GA and also served in the War of 1812.  By 1850 the Hickey family had left 
Crawford CO, GA and settled in Lafayette CO, MS.

Benjamin Hickey married Cynthia M. Reid December 23, 1852 Lafayette CO, MS.  
She must have died before 1871 since he remarried in 1871.  Perhaps she died in 
childbirth when her last child was born in 1869.

Children of Benjamin Hickey and Cynthia M. Reid:
1.)  John b. 1853 MS, 2.)  Susan b. 1854 MS, 3.)  Andrew b. 1856 MS, 4.) 
Charity b.  Oct. 22, 1860 MS and died Feb. 8, 1893, TX, 5.) Julia b. 1862 MS 
and 6.)Bealah b. 1869 MS, m. W. F. Renfro Feb. 18, 1891 MS

Benjamin Washington Hickey served in the 42nd Regiment, MS Infantry, CO H, unit 
42 during the Civil War.  He was 26 years old when he entered the Civil War and 
served for four years.

He married Mary Sara Phene (Moore) August 6, 1871 Lafayette CO, MS.  Mary Sara 
Phene was born 1845 Marshall CO, MS and died April 7, 1931 Waxahachie, Ellis 
CO, TX.  The family moved to Ellis CO, TX in 1892.

MS, 10.) Mary b. Dec. 1892, TX, 11.)Ellen, 12.) son b. Aug. 9, 1895, d. Aug. 9, 
1895, TX, 13.) daughter b. April 26, 1896 TX d. April 26, 1896, TX
