Weisner Jinks. He is listed with his parents in the 1880 Taylor County Georgia Census as 21 and single. We believe he moved to Texas with his Uncle William H. Jinks, his younger brother, Floyd L, and cousin, Henry T. Jinks (s/o Tolliver L. Jinks) around 1883. He married Exer Lou Stell [per Linnie's Death Certificate] Raines in Ellis County in 1885. She was also born in GA. The Butler Herald Dec 8, 1885 "We had a pleasant call from Mr. Willis M. Jinks of Rice, Texas, who has returned to his old home in Taylor County after an absence of several years. Mr. Jinks brings with him his fair bride from Texas." He and Exer had three children - Linnie Mae (b. May 1887 in GA), James (b. Feb 1891 in TX), and Dora (b. Apr 1894 in TX) Exer died around 1898. Floyd L, a younger brother died young from being thrown from a horse onto a steer in Texas. In Dec 1893, his younger brother, John Wilburn, who had just graduated from Southern State Medical College, died with hemorrhage of the lungs and is buried in Taylor County, in Jinks family cemetery. Willis M. married 2) Bertha Boggs on Nov 21, 1898 in Navarro County. Bertha was born in Arkansas and her father in Indiana and mother in Virginia. Children of Exer: 1. Linnie Mae b. [Linnie Mae is the daughter of Willis M.Jinks born 1887 so she would have been 15. Mrs. Mary Jinks is Mary A. Brewer who married William Henry Jinks. W.H. Jinks died April 21, 1901. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church in Plano for John Fort Jinks, 45, victim of a traffic accident in Dallas. Services were conducted by the Rev. F.H. Siler, First Baptist pastor, and the Rev. Raymond V. Horn, First Methodist pastor. Burial was at Restland Memorial Park. Jinks was born at Ennis,[1909] had been a longtime Plano resident. He commuted daily to Dallas where he was employed. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Lucile Tinsley and a daughter, Jane Ann, both of Plano; two brothers, Sam W. Jinks of Dallas and James S. Jinks of San Antonio, and two sisters, Mrs. L. May Power of McAllen and Mrs. L.A. Shuffler of Dallas. Jinks was a member of the First Methodist Church, a Mason and memer of the Plano Volunteer Fire Department. Masons had charge of the graveside services.
