This information from Lipa III 1868 - 1925.* * Pete departed Bremen on June 17, 1913 traveling on the ship Cassel, which arrived Galveston on July 7, 1913. Galveston Immigration Database list him as Family # 66082, immigrating by himself, age 19, male, a tailor destination, Ennis. Citation Source is INSMF-15-D NATIONAL ARCHIVES RECORD GROUP 85, MICROCOPY 1359, ROLL # 15. Also found in "LIPA 1261-2001" page 106.* * His WWI draft record has Pete MACH born, June 20, 1894 in Lipa, Moravia, Bohemia. He is listed as an alien, 22 years of age, with an occupation as a tailor. Listed as short and stout, blue eyes, light brown hair, working for John Korizak (spelling).* * The 1920 US Census places him as living in Ellis County, Ennis City, Justice Precinct 3 married to EMMA.* * The 1930 US Census has him living in Mexia, Limestone County with wife, and 2 sons, William L MACH age 9 and Edwin P. Mach age 7.* * Pete MACH married Emily HASKOVEC, b. 18 Nov 1899; d. 28 May 1951 daughter of Frank HASKOVEC and Marie HUBACEK buried St. Joseph Cemetery, Ennis.* * Pete MACH died 8 November 1948 buried St Joseph Cemetery, Ennis.* * Believe son might be William MACH, b. 22 August 1920 d. December 1968 in Ennis, Ellis County.* NOTES: After World War I, an independent democratic Czechoslovakia was founded.
