Lafayette Parsons, son of Amos and Sarah Parsons was born 1846 East Bloomfield, 
Ontario CO, NY and died February 6, 1918 Sylvester, Fisher CO, TX.  He is 
buried in Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak Ellis CO, TX.  

Sometime between 1860 and 1870 Lafayette Parsons family moved from NY to Perry 
CO. IL.  Amos Parsons must have died between 1860 and 1870 beause he is not 
listed with the family in the 1870 census for Perry CO, IL. 

Lafayette married Harriet Elizabeth Florer May 25, 1872 Perry CO, IL.  Harriet 
was born June 23, 1849 Montgomery CO, IN and died Jan. 10, 1916 Red Oak, Ellis 
CO, TX.  She was the daugher of Thomas Wilson Florer and Harriet Elizabeth 
Stone.  Her mother died in childbirth.

Lafayette was a farmer and farmed in Perry CO, IL before moving the family to 
Red Oak, Ellis CO, TX where he also farmed.  Harriet's father, Thomas Wilson 
Florer, had moved his family from MS to Ellis CO, TX shortly before Lafayette's 
family arrived.  Four of their children were born in Perry CO, IL and two were 
born in Ellis CO, TX.

5.  Frank Royston       b.  Aug. 27, 1887          d.  May 15, 1970
    m.  Elizabeth Taylor
6.  John Ross           b.  Feb. 22, 1890          d.  June 27, 1956
    m.  Alta Middleton
