Additional Comments:
Homer Newton Chapman was the son of Philip Alexander and Roxana McFarlin 
Chapman. Homer's son was Major Philip Godfrey Chapman, W.W. II Ace. Major 
Chapman died 28 Mar. 1945 while leading a flight of P-51 Mustangs. They were 
part of the famous "Flying Tigers"
The Chapman's of Ellis County were large producers in the Oil and Gas business 
in Texas and Oklahoma
