Wesley Davis is Dead

Sam Ross "Rocked" Him to Sleep -- Other Waxahachie Local News

Waxahachie May 27
Wesley Davis, who was knocked in the head Saturday night by Sam Ross for as Ross
alleges being too intimate with his (Ross) wife, died last night.  This morning
a jury of six, Thomas Thompson, H.R. Lloyd, Sid Farley, H.A. Pierce, Pete Smith
and Sam Carry, were impaneled and an inquest held over the body. Drs. Thompson
and Swent? made an autopsy, finding the skull cracked three inches above the
right eye. The jury's verdict was death caused by a wound in the head received
at the hands of Sam Ross with a rock or brick.  Ross is in jail and is to be
held until the meeting of the next grand jury.
