The Waxahachie Enterprise July 22, 1898
At Avalon last week, Mrs. Hale, mother of Walter Hale.

Additional Comments:
Marilla Hale born 6/12/1831 Ga. died 7/22/1898 Ellis Co., Tx. is buried in the 
Hughes Cemetery in Avalon, Tx. She was the mother of Walter B. Hale, City 
Commissioner of Abilene, Tx. and a former resident of Avalon.  Her youngest son 
Hallum was my grandfather.
