Mr. Grizzard was a native of Huntsville, AL. He came to Texas as a youth and had resided continuously in Ellis County for more than fifty years. Funeral services were held at the residence with burial following at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis. Dr. E. S. Bledsoe, pastor of the Main Street Christian Church, officiated. Active pallbearers were: C.M. Hall, W.D. Anderson, J.C. Payne, W. Tom Jones, M.D. Rutherford, Ben Rose, Cliff Ryburn, M.W. Walker, Henry Swain and Ernest Slayton of Ennis. Mr. Grizzard is survived by his wife Mrs. Hattie Youree Grizzard and two daughters. Miss Mabel Grizzard, principal of Central Ward School and Miss Eva Grizzard, principal of West Ward School of Waxahachie. NOTES: (From Sandra Beaver W.H. Grizzard was the son of Henry P. Grizzard.
