Final Rites Held
For C.J. Ruffin

Funeral services for Claude J. Ruffin, 60, life-long resident of Ellis County
and resident of Ennis for 30 years, were held at the Keever Chapel at 10 a.m.
Saturday.

Mr. Ruffin died in Ennis Municipal Hospital early Friday morning after an
extended illness.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Joe David Ruffin, student at North Texas
State College in Denton; one daughter, Miss Virginia Ann Ruffin, student in
Ennis High School; two brothers, W.C. Ruffin, Alma, and R.A. Ruffin, Sherman;
and one sister, Mrs. Sallie Collard, Alma.

The Rev Jackson Oglesby of Gatesville officiated at the services assisted by the
Rev. Cecil Ellis.  Burial was in Rice.

Pallbearers were Maurice Smith, John Smith, Cecil Ruffin, Parnell Ruffin and
Alvie Ruffin, both of Alma and Willis Ruffin Jr. of Stamford, all nephews of the
deceased.
