Story passed away Early Thursday Dided at 4a.m. Funeral at home 500 East Milam 3pm Thurs Death was not unexpected as she had been affliced with cancer nine years, the past three months her condition being serious, most of the time she being in a semi-conscious condition. It was feared that her son, Frank, who had been in overseas service for ten months would not reach her bedside before she passed away. He reached home Saturday night and was recognized and greeted by his mother. Early in life she joined the Methodist church. She was Miss Ida Elizabeth Swearingen before her marriage, born in La Place, AL, Aug 1, 1866, coming to Texas in 1872 with her parents, she was married to J.A. Story Dec 22, 1878 in Navarro Co. moving to Ennis in 1891. Besides her devoted husband, survived by: Dr. Fred L, Frank J. Houston C. sons, all of Ennis; two sisters. Mrs. J.D. Story of Angus, Mrs. t.B. White of Wichita Falls, four brothers, Ed. L. Swearingen of Saratoga, James F of Egypt, Will R and Paul Swearingen of San Antonio. Funeral at her home. Rev. t.S.
