H. Wade, 98, of 5223 East Side. Mr. Wade, a native of Alabama for a number of years had lived here with his youngest son, R. D. Wade. His first glimpse of Dallas was more than sixty years ago when he drove through the straggling village en route to Mexico with a team of horses. Mr. Wade returned to Texas four years later to settle at Ennis, Ellis County. He remained until 1884 when he came to Dallas. He had lived here since that time except for a few years spent in Mabank. For many years he operated a coal and wood business on the site of the present Olive & Myers furniture factory at 2220 Young. During the last years of his life he spent most of his time pursuing his favorite hobby-fishing-at White Rock Lake. He attended the reunion of Confederate and Union veterans at Gettysburg, Pa. last June. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the East Grand Baptist Church with the Rev. H. E. Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park. [Dallas] Pallbearers will be Houston Wade, Horace Wade, Earnest DeArment, J. H. Jones, J. L.
