(Whit) Williams 84, died at noon Tuesday at the Ennis Municipal Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Williams, formerly Lillie May Hightower was born Jan 27, 1877 in Callahan County, the daughter of Allen G and Lillie Hollingworth Hightower. In 1897 she was married to Whit Williams of Ellis County. They came to Ennis to live in 1900 and Mr. Williams passed away in 1945. Surviving her are one son Dewey Williams of Houston, one daughter, Mrs. Fred L. Fifer of Tyler; three sisters, Mrs. Wade Smith of Waxahachie; Mrs. John Maggard of Ft. Worth and Mrs. A.N. Tadlock of Honesboro, Arkansas; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at the Keever Chapel on Wednesday at 4pm with interment in Mytle Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church and the W.B.A. The Frost News Aug 20, 1945 O. W. Williams died Sunday, Aug 19. Oliver Whitfield Williams was born in Decatur, Tenn, son of N.N. and Mary Frances Williams. He came to Texas at the age of 16.
