Forston, 84, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Keever Chapel with the Rev. Randall McCollum of the First Baptist Church in Bardwell and the Rev. Irvan Anthony of the Providence Baptist Church in Toole officiating. Interment was in the Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary with the following serving as pallbearers: Bill Forston of Red Oak, Bob Forston of Mesquite, Walter Williams of Ennis, Jimmy Williams of Richardson, Randall Williams of Ennis and John Serrett of Tyler. Honorary pallbearers were William Dyess, Willie Fowler, Dr. Tim O’Shea, Dr. Larry Jinks, Dr. Bill Neilson, Dr. J.R. Wilcox, Dr. William Hoffman, Dr. David Campbell, Neil Blackstone, Roy Ware, Don Stiles and W.D. Bozek. Mr. Forston died Monday afternoon at Baylor Medical Center in Ennis after a long illness. He was born March 3, 1904, in Trumbell, the son of James S. and Millie Watkins Forston. He was reared in the Crisp Community and graduated from Ennis High School in 1926. July 2, 1927, he was married to Miss Alva Rose of Bardwell. After their marriage they moved to Dallas. In 1930 they returned to Bardwell where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bardwell where he served as a deacon for 49 years. He also served on the Bardwell School Board for several years. He is survived by his wife of Bardwell; three daughters, Mrs. Jeannine Tribble of Alvarado, Mrs. Joetta Mullins of Dallas and Ms. Becky Cryer of Bardwell; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, I.L. Forston of Orange and E.S. Forston of Irving, and several nieces and nephews. *********************************************** Copyright.
