Right to Left: In 1909 Mary Zerwer photo 1) there is a small wood frame commercial building with a false front having a sign J.H. Kendricks. [Dr. Kendricks] On the post to the right of the sign has a bell outline on it, so it must have been the phone exchange. Probably built ca 1900-1910. Operators: 1)Charles Hall 2) Nora Boggs 3)Mae Willis (wife of Will Willis) 2)A wooden frame building with roof over sidewalk and large sign :GW Collard General Merchandise Post Master . Purchase by HJ & wife WV Ruffin from E.N. Fears 1900 Jun 26. Sold to GW Collard (the husband of Sally Ruffin their daughter)Oct 19, 1905. Collard Post Master April 20, 1905 to Leo Mitchell, June 8, 1914. 4)ALMA STATE BANK. Crashed in 1929. three clerestory windows above identifies in 1931 photo.
