The first picture is of Tom & Annie (circa 1883)

Additional Comments:
 
Thomas Henry Hickman (b. 1861 AR AL TN) came to Ellis County from Clark Co., AR
between 1881-1883. He married all three of his wives in Ellis Co.
 
He married his first wife, Mary J Davis and had two children (Maud & John R)
before Mary died.
 
He then married a widow who had 2 boys. Her name was Annie E Owens (Burks). The
Owens family had moved to Ellis from Cannon Co., TN. Annie had a daughter (my
grandmother) Madie Vera and when Madie was just 3 years old Annie died of TB.
 
Tom then married Annie's younger sister, Julia Idella Owens and they had Kittie,
Willie, Leonard, Weldon & Cecil.
 
Tom became a very wealthy man by owning a cotton gin and farming a lot of cotton.
