Santry and Miss Dorothy Gooch united in marriage Thurs evening. She is eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Gooch. Took place in Tabernacle Baptist parsonage at 8 pm. Rev. W.E. Brittain officiating. Limited to relatives and Mr. and Mrs. Gid Noel. The Gooch family formerly lived her, now in Howard where Mr. Gooch has farming interests. Miss Gooch taught in the Waxahachie Schools last year. Bridegroom is youngest son of Mrs. M.W. Santry. He received his discharge Feb 24 from the naval air service, in which he had served 21 months, 8 months oversease. He is now with the Noel Bros Furniture Co After a few days visit in Dallas, they will be with Mrs. Santry and his sister, Nell Santry until they can get possession of a cottage on East Milam street. The knights of old could not have had a harder time getting their brides than Mr. Santry, who on account of the heavy rains was forced to leave a car and walk quite a distance, when he met a Waxahachie physician who was stuck in the mud. With Mr. Santry's assistance the physician got out of the mud and took Mr. Santry as far as he could. The bride's father took the bridal couple to Waxahachie, coming to Ennis over the piked road reaching here at 7:30.
