She owned Margie's Corset and Maternity Shop on Mesa in the Downtown area, not far from her husband's surgical supply store. In the 1970s, her store moved across the street into a new bank building under the name to Margie's Body Fashions when corsets became unfashionable. She also had a partnership with Jerry Glass of the Glass dress stores. Her business closed after 48 years in 1992. After the closing, she moved to San Antonio.
