Mrs. Wilson was born on June 6, 1909 in Asarco, Durango, Mexico. She was the daughter of William and Felicitas Morris. SHe grew up in Chihuahua where she met and married Renie Wilson. Katita taught kindergarten at the "Colony" in Avalos, Chihuahua. She moved to El Paso after the death of her husband, where she spent her remaining years. Mrs. Wilson also taught at Saint Patrick's School. Katie was a friend, teacher, wife, and mother. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and sister, Julia. She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Shupe and husband Bill, Florence Delgado and husband Robert. 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. JOSE ANGEL 83, devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2001 of complications related to Parkinson's disease. Mr. Sanchez, a man of humor who loved ranchera music and anything sweet, was born on October 20, 1917, in Seguin, Texas, the eldest of Domingo and Julia Palacios Sanchez. He spoke With delight of his childhood, but left home forever when called to serve his country during World War II. He was stationed at Fort Bliss and soon met his lifelong love: Marta Beatriz Escobar. Courtship led to marriage and a 57-year journey together. Along the way, they were joined by five children: Elva Martinez and husband Guillermo Jr., Edna Solis and husband Efrain, Patricia Sanchez, Jose Luis Sanchez and wife Maria Estela Mora, Carlos Sanchez and wife Sandra Elizabeth. Mr. Sanchez worked for 32 years as the Foreman of the air conditioning and refrigeration shop at White Sands Missile Range. After retiring, he worked at Breeze Air Conditioning in El Paso. He is survived by his wife, five children, and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his uncle Epimenio Palacios, brother Antonio, and sisters Guadalupe, Soledad and Ramona. BAUTISTA, AMALIA "MONIE" age 75 and a long time resident of El Paso, passed away May 6, 2001. Amalia Hermes was born January 29, 1926 in Bloomington, IL where she attended High School and College. After graduation she moved to San Francisco, CA and then to Honolulu, Hawaii. In Hawaii she met the love of her life, Jess Bautista. From this love eight children were born. Upon settling in El Paso, TX in 1970, Monie worked as a School Nurse for many years. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jess Bautista, daughters Tanya Wetherell and husband Dayle Wetherell, Melissa Means and husband Frank Means, Harri Bauman and husband Jim Baumann, Thea Pierce and husband Mark Pierce, Fran Browett and husband John Browett and Libby Bautista.
