MRS. JOANNA BARBEE	

Mrs. Joanna Barbee, who lived here many years until 1947, died Wednesday in Los
Angeles, where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Smith. She was 84.

Mrs. Barbee was the mother of Mrs. L. J. Fairley and Mrs. Evelyn Kahrs of El Paso.

Other survivors are sons and daughters Andrew Barbee of Merkel, Donald Barbee of
Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Kate Barclay of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Clarence Eoff of
Tulare, Calif., Mrs. Joe Paul of Colorado City, Tex., 21 grandchildren, 20
great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. 

Mrs. Barbee was a pioneer resident of Merkel, Tex. Funeral services will be held
there Monday.
