From Dublin take state highway 6 east 6 miles. Turn right on 521, left on 522 then right on 302. Right on 303, left on 284. Cemetery is located on the left or west side of 284. Inside a 12’ double gate is an 8’ metal sign identifying the cemetery. The sign was designed and made by Sam Perkins a welder. His mother & father are buried here. It was made in loving memory of James F. (Jimmie) Johnson in 1992. Restoration of this cemetery was begun in 1984. This took almost eight weeks of hard dedicated work by three natives of Dublin, TX. The cemetery was overgrown with briars and grass. Markers were hidden and some had fallen over or were broken. (There is an article in the Stephenville Empire-Tribune newspaper dated Aug. 20, 1984 with pictures and details about the restoration. In 1986 Homer Green (his grandparents are buried here) had a barbered wire fence & gate installed across the front. Later that same year Dortha Stracener and Roy Echols put in a fence fully inclosing the cemetery. The oldest marked grave in this cemetery is that of John S. Evans buried in 1884. There are many (20 plus) graves marked by fieldstones without a name or date. It is likely there are more graves no longer identified or marked. So far it has not been determined who gave or sold the land for the cemetery, but it is believed that G.A. Mullican owned the land in the early 1880’s NAMES DOB DOD TOMBSTONE INSCRIPTION NOTES Brown, B.F. Mar. 24, 1854 June 14, 1929 FATHER AT REST Brown, Mary Lee Feb. 3, 1857 Jan. 19, 1895 WIFE OF B.F.
