James was the son of Joseph Johnston Vinson and Lura Baugh. He was born 11 Aug

1888 and died 24 Jul 1903 a month short of his fifteenth birthday. According to

a daughter of his sister Carrie, James died from diabetes. He is buried next to

his parents and sisters. The cemetery is west of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church,

near the intersection of FM913 and US281 south of Stephenville. 



The inscription on the stone says "Weep not papa and mama for me, for I am

waiting in heaven for you."
