Additional Comments: Nathan served as a Capt in Co E 7th Va. Cavalry in the Civil War. This information was taken from Soldier's Application for Pensionon file at the Texas State Archives. Application was dated as being filed 9 Oct. 1909 and approved 23 Feb 1910. A number at the top of the application form is #17612. According to Nathans Pension Application for the State of Texas, he has resided in Texas since 1875 and for a period of 31 years in Stephenville, Erath Co.. He served in Company E, Regiment 7th Virginia Cavalry for a period of 4 years. Nathan was elected 2nd Lieutenant, promoted to 1st . Lieutenant, and was then Commissioned as a Captain for a period of two years.
