GILBREATH: one Negro at $800; eight horses at $675; Sundries $140. Total value, $165; Poll tax 50 cents; State tax $2.93. Chesley TURNBOW: 500 acres valued at $500; grantee, S. BLUTH; Total Value $500. State tax 75 cents. W. H. GILBREATH: 5 Negroes at $1500; 7 horses at $525; Sundries $140; total value $2125; Poll tax 50 cents; S tate tax $3.69. R. E. CAUDLE: 5 oxen $375; Total value $175; Poll tax 50 cents; State tax 75 cents. C. B. CAUDLE: Sundries $175; Total value $375; poll tax $1.06. F. H. TURNBOW: one horse at $20; Sundries $50; Total value, $70; Poll tax 50 cents; State tax 60 cents. Total County value: 500 acres at $500; 6 Negroes at $2300; 16 horses at $1220; Sundries $840; Total $4,860; Poll tax $2.50; State tax $9.73. Miscellaneous value $12,120 at 15 cents per $100 valuations; tax $18.18. Total valuation $119,070. Total AdValorem taxes $179.66. Poll taxes $44.50. Total AdValorem and Poll Taxes $224.16. Amount of supplements for year 1856: $9.73. Recapitulation of Assessments from other Counties (non residents) for 1857: 20,145 acres of land value $22,680 at 15 cents per $100 valuation; Tax $34.02. 14 town lots, value $140 at 15 cents per $100 valuation; tax 21 cents.
