John Thomas Grogan, my great-grandfather, married Laura Elizabeth Bailey in 
1885 at Lowell, Erath County, Texas.  They had both lived in Georgia.  John 
was the son of Richard Gibson Grogan and Elizabeth Frances Graham.  Laura was 
the daughter of William "Riley" Bailey and Martha Ann Hails.  "Riley" had 
served in the 51st Rgt. Georgia Volunteer Infantry.  John and Laura had two 
daughters,  Linnie Ann (born 1886)who married Logan Prater,  and Frances Ara 
(Fannie b 1889) who married John Kelley Walls.  After John T Grogan died in 
1912, Laura married J. Foster Harris.  Fannie, my grandmother, moved to 
California and later married Tandy Key.
